It is looking like the weekend of July 24th.

as would be expected. Can we request the bow berthes on the Roamer, as per usual? Saturday night steaks on the A-Dock are on the menu, of course! Yepper.

You got it. First come first serve.

Hedge likes guests that show up with food and great martini's. I am not sure what problems remain to be solved after that last session with the brown liquid from Kentucky.

Well, Max's therapist says he has recovered from the trauma induced by Tripod, and is ready to face his nemesis again, so we're in!!

Same corner RV spot please :) :) :camp::hammock:

The Hedgehog

Yes, more noodles.

Spankie is still ruling the dock with an iron paw.

Notice he said "Paw", not "Paws"? That dog has some mojo going on. But then again, the whole dock has it going on!

I'll be there! The plan is to bring a camper and stake out a spot next to A-dock. Who do I call to reserve a space?

Last Real Tex, Hedge, Jamie, and I had a great afternoon yesterday at A-Dock. Brian was generous to fire up the diesel wagon and we all took a cruise. Finished the day with some custom martinis. Awesome way to finish a great weekend.

We did talk about the run some. Alternative places to stay. There are hotels up and exit or two on 24. Bill is going to post some places. Fuel. Jamie has contacts that can bring fuel to us, so you can kiss an all day 40 mph run good bye, baby!

What a great scenic run to Chatanooga from Halesbar Marina.
Barb-

I'll bring whatever it is that makes a Bushwacker!

The Hedgehog

Bushwhacker contributions are always appreciated.

Barb. Tell them you want a space on the end near Adock. That will be next to Baxter and Zilla. I will follow up with the folks at the marina to verify that you are getting those.

Hotels.......we can go two ways. Toward South Pittsburgh and toward Chattanooga.

South Pittsburgh has one advantage in that it is near Los Margeuritas. That will be important Friday night.

Chatt the exits toward Chatt will have more options. I will actually get a list later this week.

We also have non-floating cabins that are close to A - Dock.

The Hedgehog

A softball team just booked everything left in the marina for a tournament.

We need to move it. That would make it on the 17th, 18th and 29th. We can have lots of options then.

Let me know if this works and we can nail down blocks of rooms so this does not happen again.

If I get a vote, I vote for the weekend of July 29th. I'll be in Iowa the other dates.

The Hedgehog
04-19-2011, 10:14 PM
Let me try to pin them down. I figure that we can run off the remainder of the softball crown if we need. Most of the long distance folks seem to be staying either in campers or on boats.

The Hedgehog
04-20-2011, 10:16 AM
Ok so the weekend of the July 29th it is. I have 3 spots reserved. They are together but not on the end. 50 amp and I have been told that they will handle a big RV. I will monitor cancellations and try to grab the end spots if they open up.

There are 3 floating cabins available and ALL non floating cabins are available. Get them while you can.

I will scout additional hotels on Fri.

250.00 round trip ticket from JAC to ATL purchased- Check!

Secured berth in front of Tex's boat- Check!

Loose fitting lifejacket so if I have to go through the locks on the Tennessee I do not have to use one of Buiz's CO2 inflated ones- Check!

Alright, lets talk Bushwacker. Last year we ran dry a few times. If numbers are the same, we will need 2-4 machines. If we have more, and I am sure we will, we will need 4-20 machines. They rent Bushwacker machines in Chattanooga? I will put in for a couple. They have a Bushwackers R' Us?

If there is going to be a give a way or raffle, I would like to donate my camo Snuggie. If you are on the fence about coming, then I am sure the chance of winning such a fine piece of apparel will sway you.

Flowerpots, Snuggies, Roamers, Bushwackers.....OH MY!!!! :)

Lenny, you mentioned coming last year. Tickets are CHEAP. Fly into ATL Thursday and you can ride up with me.

We had a minor communication error regarding rooms for Thurs and Friday night. I don't see it being a big deal.

For now, book rooms at the Holiday Inn Express in Kimball. Secure a cabin Sat night.

This should not be a problem in the end.

PM me with any concerns.

-A certain HP Donzi 27ZX goes up in flames trying to out run some Classics from the North AND the South. Taunt one year, pay the next, and dearly.

-Spankie manhandles Max, AGAIN. And just about everybody else, too.

-GAS TO GO for everyone! 200 miles of solid river gorge running anyone? Why not, lets go, we have sunlight!

-Two Bushwacker Machines on A-Dock? Can you say MELTDOWN?

-Yes, DW will probably order ANOTHER Pina Colada at a Tex-Mex joint, who the heck does that? But wait, I hear it has 151 in it.. a man's drink for sure.

-A room is a room, so book it..

-Smoked ribeyes on Saturday night, after a great day on the water. Oh yeh.

All good. Nothing else like it...

I think I'm in this year. Got it on my calendar and will do my best to make it.

I'll have the ladyfriend with me most likely, but probably no boat. Looking forward to meeting those of you I've only talked to on the phone or forums! :thumbs

Jim took away my man card for that. He still hasn't given it back......

So, Cutwater, did the DonziVol full court press help you make up you mind? :)

I will be impressed when the quonset hut in the middle of the docks, aka "Party Central" has its own 30KW generator. Got to keep the hot tub, hot, and the bushwackers, cold. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see that. And oh, don't forget about DW's pinas!

Geesh..:cool3:
