Need a Fri Head count too.
I am trying to schedule a lunch at the Docks. It would be great if we can pull it off. They have great food.
Working on Taco Mamacito or Big River Grill in Chatt for Sat lunch.
Dinner on Sat will be at A Dock. We are working on those logistics.

Thanks Tim.
If we have a decent lunch crowd on Friday, The Docks (restaurant) will open and serve us. They will also serve beer and wine. Once this run gets a little bigger, they can serve more.
$15 a head is a good deal. They serve good food. We have been known to stay down for a couple of days in bad weather and run up a nice little tab and The Docks.

The Docks is the main restaurant at Goose Pond. It is closed on week days. If we bring enough crowd, they will open for us.
They are happy to serve 30. They will do less. We are almost in the money.

Phil & Leesa Simmons, party of 2...we have a floating cabin booked for Friday & Saturday night (all I had to do was say "Hedgehog" to Leann and a cabin suddenly became available ! ). Possibility of arriving Thursday evening...depending on some scheduling issues...we'll book a hotel room if so. Not looking like boat will be in tow, but that could possibly change next week....will let you know asap.
Would definitely like to see itinerary as it shapes up and if there is anything I can do to help, please let me know. Looking forward to meeting everyone, my first event,...and the "A-Dock Experience"....(i think :)

If all goes to plan, I will come down Thursday night with the 18 in tow. I will be up for lunch on Friday, but the work cell will be on:Eye:. Torii will join for the lunch run on Saturday and the A-dock party Saturday night. It's her b-day, so we'll have to put happy birthday on the iPod at least once! Still working on cutwater and a couple others. Will reach out to both tomorrow. I hope they can make it. They'd be great additions to the event and will certainly enjoy the time.
Looking forward to it!

It seems Lisa's camper has rotted out, can't be towed, not worth fixing, sooooooo..... We're stuck with the three of us (me, Andrew, and Lisa) in her 6 sleeper tent. Hope y'all keep us numb enough on bushwackers to be able to stand it. Andrew's first question was...can't we get a cabin? My response...even if we could get one at this stage of the game...you'd get the nasty fold out in the dining area. Just ask Tim how comfy that is. LOL
So count on 3 of us...just not exactly sure of where we'll be sleeping. Calling Hales Bar in the A.M. Planning to arrive around noon Friday, if not sooner.

Sorry folks. They held rooms as long as they could.
The best option at this point is to book a room at the Holiday Inn Express in Kimball. It is no more than 10 minutes from the marina. Boats can be left here at A Dock.
They are to notify me with cancellations and I will post them here so it is first come first serve. Rumor has it that the softball group that booked a bunch of rooms will be having some fallout so we can probably pick up some more next week.
After that it is tent city. You can pitch a tent right by A Dock. We will supply bushwhackers!

I had a complete technology melt-down yesterday, all of which I rely on heavily for my business. I almost stood up and said f-it, and got on the road. Still, not that far from it, but first to the Verizon store for a fricking, temporary phone...

Been trying to figure out if I could make this trip for a while. Only chance is to go stag. Turns out I can go and I can get a room at Hale's.
I just bought another boat (aww $hit--red boat row gets one bigger) but the trailer has no chance to be ready in time for this trip.
When I first talked to Hedge over a week ago, it sounded like there were plenty of boats for the Gorge weekend. But it sounds like there's been a fair amount of attrition since then, so I have no feel if there's room to hitch a ride.
So, if anyone has a sense of whether there are enough boats that I should hop in the car and just do it, let me know ASAP either way. I will confirm my room and be down tomorrow afternoon. (And will likely have space for a couple more people, if anyone is stuck with a campsite or anything like that.) If the answer is we're short of space, no worries, I will just wait for another event.
Thanks,
Mike

Mike, I am sure there will be plenty of seats. Between Stan, Andre, Bill, Brian (hopefully), Jim, Cliff, Phil, Parnell, and god knows who else, there should be plenty of seats. For example, not speaking for them by any means, Stan and Susan should have seats and I know Cliff will have some seats. Jim will have seats also. I think Parnell is coming solo also. We will tie you to a deck if we have too..... :) I bring gas money, but no one has ever taken any even though I offer. Doesn't hurt to keep some in your pocket to help out with whatever boat you end up in. Plus, Susan could use and official hat holder.

The run got a little bigger this year and would not have been the same without help fro some key individuals. Who to thank? Basically everyone. There was not a sole there that the not help in some way. That is what made it a great run. Every time I turned around someone was doing something or buying something. W had a GREAT group of people. End result was trading drive-bys with Tex and Dre all the way back from Goose Pond and some very memorable moments on the water, without having to worry about running out of fuel.

I would have died of heat exhaustion if I'd actually had to stay in a tent! And thank you Donziweasel for hooking us all up. Also, thank you so much, Ghost, for the teeshirts. They are a beautiful tribute Randy. Poodle, great noodles once again! If I've forgotten anyone, please know that I love you all, you are just such an incredible group of awesome human beings. Everyone was so incredibly welcoming and inclusive in taking care of us, boatless, homeless, and all! You all have become my second family and I am so blessed to call all of you friends. I can't wait to next year...when I WILL have a boat, because I WILL learn how to drive the new and improved D*mn Donzi! Thank you again!
Love you all,
Barb
