Mid-Summer get together

We are looking at putting together a casual gathering of friends and families up in the Northeast the weekend of July 12-15. Nothing is set in stone yet, we are working on the location and logistics still, but we would like to gauge the interest before we go to far with the planning.

Can't tell much for certain on dates yet, but I'm definitely interested. Will pencil it in for a potential get-together and hold it as best I can. So, my "maybe" in the poll is a bit stronger than that.

As long as its not the 3rd weekend in June (fathers day / 14,15 & 16th). St Mikes boat show is that weekend and needs a couple days to get ready for. I want to take two boats this year.
Maybe you all can tie the two together?? I bet if you all started now Donzi could be a feature of the show.

Any idea where in the Northeast? Erie would be cool. Big factor for me since I can't close the business for a whole week-end. (no noise or speed limits either)

how east? The proposed venue is at Lake George, NY. The event will be open to all models of DONZI's, and anything else from the Aronow heritage, up to 35'. Magnum's, Cigarette's, Squadron VII, Donzi, Formula, Aronow.... you get the idea http://www.donzi.net/forums/images/smilies/cool.gif There will be no Poker Runs, or speed runs, or need for lake escorts. There will be raft-up's, picnic's, dinner's, lunches, parties, everything... Obviously, any pertinent LG rules and laws apply. There will be various water related activities throughout the 4 days on the lake, and landside. Final accomodation layouts and facilities are being finalized soon and will be announced, but will be familiar.

I personally, am only a messenger, I am NOT the organizer or even a spokesman, as this will be handled by others closer to the area.

With that all said, whether your interested or not, please reply to the poll in an honest fashion. While it is recognized that there is another Donzi related event on the same lake, this event will take on a different flavor due to the invited heritage hulls, and is not meant to be competition. Each event will have it's own attributes, and advantages. Being that 2014 will be the 50th Anniv of Donzi, I would expect the 2nd year event to be a humdinger with 2013 as the pilot event..

The dates work for me, and anything within a 5 hour drive is very doable...... (leave at 5:30 AM....beers by lunch)
