I watched footage of the 192 mph in 2011 and 194 mph and 208 in 2012 just the other day. Unreal machines for sure. ( GPS has em faster even )

Looks like a fabulous show of power !

Sadly, I wont be there... :(

You guys are killing me with this... But, we are booked for the next three weekends with the Westside, Labor Day Blow-out, and the LC Poker Run. Just getting back from three nights on the water this past weekend on the Formula and the Wisbey clan on a State Dock houseboat, and I could do it again, but this boating stuff can wear you out...

Have fun out there!

Scared of what? Isn't the class leader for a 22 to run in some tired old Baja? One of these days..

We're just scouting this year and next year Lenny will be driving for me..So a 22 will finally get to mix it up and hopefully take home the bacon in 2014 :shift:

Heck you all may intice me into buying a 22 and run myself since I can't get them to change the rules to let me run the 18.

Love the 18, but I like this idea even better. I know where there are a couple of 22's with "good bones" for a performance enhancement project should you get serious about it.

From Speed on the water.. I think once the 6800 HP Mystic gets dialed in it is going to be sick. UNDER propped with 37" wheels?

1. My Way Runs 224 mph: You could almost hear the crowd in the spectator fleet roar back at Captain Ron's Bar and Grill when it was announced on the televised Shootout broadcast Bill Tomlinson's 50-foot Mystic (http://mysticpowerboats.com/) catamaran posted a remarkable top speed of 224 mph. And Tomlinson and his throttleman Ken Kehoe went out for another pass—216 mph for the record—because they thought the boat, the fastest boat in the history of the Shootout, had more.

2. Outerlimits SV 43 Runs 152 mph: Mike Fiore, the owner and founder of Outerlimits (http://www.outerlimitspowerboats.com/) now has two of the fastest V-bottoms in the history of Shootout—the canopied SV 43 with Mercury Racing (http://www.mercuryracing.com/) 1350s he ran with its owner Joe Sgro to 152 mph, and Dave Scotto's open-cockpit SL 52 with Mercury Racing 1650s Fiore ran solo to 150 mph.

3. Rowland Runs 114 mph: What's so impressive about that number? Rowland laid it down in a South Bay pontoon boat with triple 300-hp Mercury Verado outboard engines, beating his old Shootout pontoon-class record of 112 mph.

4. Onken's Mystic Runs 186 mph: Freshly rigged and barely run, Don Onken's 50-foot Mystic catamaran with twin 3,400-hp V-16 supercharged engines made its first pass this morning. Mystic founder and owner John Cosker throttled the boat with Myrick Coil on the steering wheel, and they found themselves underpropped and on the rev limiters with their 37-inch-pitch wheels.

5. Speedonthewater.com Rides in Sterling 1700-Powered Skater: Yesterday, John Tomlinson and Myrick Coil piloted a 36-footSkater (http://www.skaterpowerboats.com/)catamaran with its pair of much anticipated 1,700-hp Sterling Performance (http://sterlingperformance.org/) engines to a class-winning top speed of 195 mph. This morning, speedonthewater.com's Jason Johnson and I took a ride in the cat with Tomlinson and Mike D'Anniballe of Sterling, and the experience was like nothing either of us have ever had before on the water. Look for a complete feature on the remarkable 36-foot project boat and its power in the Nov./Dec. issue of Speed On The Water (http://speedonthewater.com/magazine) magazine.

WOW! Only 190mph faster than my Whaler. By the way, is there a Whaler class at LOTO? If so, I'm gonna hang a jackplate and a 50 on the back and let 'er eat.

OK, so what was the speed for the class a 22' Classic would run in? Those 150mph + boats are incredable and to think if you have the dollars, anyone can walk into a dealership, plop down the money and buy one. No disrespect to those who can, but a fast boat can be just as dangerous as a gun in the wrong hands.

So then it appears that we have a number of Donzi owners who could take that crown if they so desired to do so. A bone stock 22 Classic does low 70s. Maybe we should all chip in to sponsor an owner of a 22 Classic and put the Donzi name on the winners list at LOTTO next year?

I nominate Stan, it would be just the kick in the a s s he needs to get the bloody thing finished. :D:hammer::thumbs

PPG, Home Depot and all the resin and sandpaper manufacturers in the USA could sponsor it...

Lenny, You now it has to be perfect or my cahoons will be busted. I sent one picture of the SS rub rail and everyone starts in, so I reordered $400 more of it . Try bending 1 " arched Stainless for the bow and corners !!! It will be ready for LOTO and we expect to see 71 mph if all goes well. On my way to Florida to get the tranny done and then the engine will go in. Engine is done ..wiring is done.. the bolster is in .. and 100 "Homer buckets" are ordered for all the B.S. I'm going to hear.. Here's proof that work is getting done

Nice looking stuff. Who's boat is that, anyway?

By the way, I've got some "LOTO INFERNO" stickers and T-shirts ready to head to the screen printer for you. I just need to know what year you want on there - 2015 or 2016?

I've been tryin to get a certain few 22 owners to come to LOTO and take this from the chick with the Baja that always wins it, I'd have done it long long ago but they won't allow anyone under 22' to run! If no one steps up next year ill have to find my own 22 in 15' and take this I can't stand seein the same chick run 64-66 mph in a bahahahh, Stan, Trip, Byron make a showing in 14' please!!

If the Inferno gets done, I will probably be there in a cheerleading capacity in 2014. In the meantime, Steve, I think that 22SE is still for sale. Throw a whipple on the 500, and you're ready to run the traps!

If the Inferno gets done...

Todd, if Stan ever gets his boat finished we will probably be forced to shut down the website as there will be little to talk about anymore.

I know people in " elderly care facilities " that log in from their sitting room desktops everyday just to follow the ongoing drama.

Some have obviously passed away since he began the project mind you... http://www.donzi.org/forum/images/smilies/th_girl-smiley-foot-tap-gigi.gif

If Stan takes much longer on this he will be able to watch the reruns from the same facility.

I just asked SIRI if she knew Stan Pike and she did. I asked her if she has ever seen his boat and sadly, she said she hasn't...
