the club will be holding it's annual fall family picnic on beautiful Lake George NY on the weekend after labor day Sept 5th thru the 7th 2008
The picnic is held on Speaker Hecht Island in the southern basin just south of Long Island. This event is more casual then the dustoff as it has no formal agenda and a perfect family get away weekend .Enjoy a blast around the lake , fishing and waterskiing, tubing are favorites. Everyone pack a picnic basket or their favorite BBQ recipe to share with friends, shrimp kabobs, smoked ribs and pulled pork, steak sandwiches are just a few of the culinary delights this event could be sponsored by the food network. It is a great event and a great way to socialize with your Donzi family. The cost is reasonable as you only pay for your dock space as we rent the entire north end of the island
so make reservation as it is also the weekend of the adirondack national hot rod show so if you are looking for a little stroll in the village to look at over 10,000 street and hot rods this is the weekend for you

cya up there

Mother-in-laws 75th Birthday Party is Sat. Sept 6th. Can't miss it or I'll be banished. Hope to swing by on Friday evening for a visit and may be on the water Sunday. At least my father-in-law has excellent taste in beers.

Hi -

I do not own a boat, but I hope to some day! I am "leaning" towards the Classic 18', although I have never been on one. I pilot the the Minne Ha Ha and will likely been on the Lake the day of the event. Please feel free to come by so I can marvel over the boats!

And, if anyone knows of an 18 classic for sale, I could be interested by next year.

See You on the Lake!

David

David, I live in Queensbury and keep my Donzi at the northern end of the lake in Heart Bay. I'd be glad to take you for a spin in an 18. A bit different than the Minehaha. Send me an email at kirbyvv@aol.com and lets see if we can arrange something. I'll be at site 7 on St. Sacrament Is. this week. keep your eyes out for an orange and white X-18. Kirby

Welcome to the Board - Donzis and Lake George go great together:) 18's are super all round boats: small and fun like the 16's but they ride much bigger when the lake is up!

Everyone is very friendly - try and attend an LGDCC event or arrange a ride on the side!

Eric,

Thanks! Please do pass along any 18' Donzi Classics you see out there. I am not in a position to purchase this season, but perhaps early next year! The Minne does not go North as far as Speaker Hecht, but we do get close to Diamond Island 7 times a day! I work the weekend shift and on Mondays.

Keep in touch!

Thanks, David

Nice seeing all the Classic's on the Lake Sunday! As Captain of the Minne Ha Ha, I was hoping to stop by when you were all at the public docks in the Village. But the Minne was docking at 12:30, just as everybody was heading North at around 12:15:( . Maybe next year!

Looked good though!

Rain didn't spoil the fun. Missed the presentation of the ambassador award to Matty, but it couldn't be more appropriate. Congrats there Matty. Now we just have to find you a boat.
