There are a handful of us that are planning on meeting at Lake Powell on Sept 15th-21st,or any of these dates you can make it.
We are going to try and stay on a houseboat at the marina as an alternative to motel rooms in town. The houseboat sleeps 10 and is on a cost share basis.
There is a Poker run,The Lake Powell Challenge, scheduled on the same weekend. You will have the choice of participating in the Poker run, or knocking around with us.
This may be short notice for some, but I know some interest has been shown Glenn,Rick,Mike,Wes,Robert.
Thanks,
Mark

I finally looked at the LPC and our September race schedule. I originally thought the LPC was the weekend before the actual date. Unfortunately we won't be able to make it that weekend. Our NHRA Division 7 Finals race is on September 18-20 in Las Vegas. This race is kind of a big deal for our daughter. She's is 1st place on the Phoenix team which qualifies her to race off against the other 1st & 2nd place kids from all the other Div. 7 teams in the Race of Champions. There's no way in heck she'll let me miss this race. We could maybe come up earlier in the week but I need to be on my way to Vegas by noon on Friday.

Update; The houseboat has been procured for Sept. 15th - 21st. Anyone interested should speak up so we can plan the menu, you know how we like to eat!!
PS Wes, I will check on the pet situation and let you know, if allowed, yes Tucker will come.
Thanks,
Mark

Cool. Snoopy went for her first ride and did great at speed.
The first thing she did was jump in the lake. The life vest has a handle on top. Very handy.

The drive isn't bad Todd, about the same distance from Amarillo to Austin, 540 miles.
See ya there,

Awesome. It will be good to see you again. Want anything from Texas?
So who is representing the Canucks? Lenny, Mike, Glen?
And the Florida boys should be there as well. You never know what we will be saying about you.
Come on, let's make this an event to remember!!!

The stain you see on the walls of the canyon are between 100' and 150' tall, depending on the time of year. Also no pesky trees to block your view!

Finally talked my Mom into a new convertible. And where is it? Fort Worth. I am going to burn a few days bringing it back for her. Have fun out there.

These guys showed up in Flagstaff late Monday night in a big rain storm and 50 degree weather. They're like "WTF", yeah it's our saying around here, "Welcome To Flagstaff". We spent some time together yesterday catching up and meeting some new faces. They should be on their way up to Powell this morning to finish the week off with sunny mid 80 degree weather and 80 degree water. I'm heading up tomorrow morning to join them for 24-hours before I have to head off to Vegas.
