Florida in March ......uuummmmmmmmmmm warm.
Wish I could make it but come March we may not be un-winterized yet. Guess we'll have to wait until our show in June.

Don't have to bring a boat..
Hey George, any possibility of leaving a boat up there the week prior? Classic races the weekend before, trying to do both events, hate to drag boat back and forth..

Scott,
Although i am an hour away in Orlando, I have room for a boat if you don't find room around Tavares.

Thanks guys. George found a space, but now plans have changed LOL.George and Bert have convinced me to show the 14, so I am going to take the 16 home after Tavares and turn around and bring the 14 back..
For now it looks like we have the following boats lined up on the docks, who else wants to join?
George (instigator) Carter: 22 Testarossa
Bert Harris: 14 Donzi
Me: 14 Donzi
Red boat row LOL. For some additional color:
Jim's Hornet III
So, now we need a couple more blue and some white boats to complete the patriotic theme. Who's in?

I'm working on the guy who now owns my old Minx.
He now winters in Clermont, FL just south of us.
He's thinking hard about it.

In order to display, you need to be a member. Start @ ACBS (http://www.acbs.org) then you can register for the show @ Sunnyland ACBS (http://www.acbs-sunnyland.org) for a dock space.

You can join ACBS and the Sunnyland chapter on the ACBS site, then pay for the show display on the Sunnyland chapter site.

On behalf of DMRS, we want to thank Bert Harris for the extraordinary efforts to pursue and organize the DONZI contingent at this event for the last few years. It took some wrangling over the years, but this year we were given an entire pier, and additional static show spaces to show off our boats. In addition to adding the classical glass boats of other brands, most of the woodie's are breathtaking restorations. One spectacular woodie had a V10 Ilmor conversion. Another had a Hilborn fuel injected Buick. There were 11 Donzi's, 1 Fino, 2 Bertram's, 1 Cigarette, half dozen Glasspar's, several Glastron's , twin i/o Carlson, and on, and on, and on... Had the weather cooperated more on Saturday, I think the attendance could have been record breaking.
Next year, don't miss it !!

----Agree wholeheartedly with every word, Jim. Bert has been tireless in getting our boats recognised and accepted at this show and it hasnt been easy at times. Thankfully, the main person that heads up the entire show is a great guy and really seems to be onboard the fiberglass express. This cant help but benefit all of us in many ways, not the least being value perceived in the boats we all love!!!.....Bill S

Glass is the future of the ACBS. Only so many wood boats left and its a bit hard to drop 50+ grand on a starter boat.
