Have the no lightening order in. Cam is still getting over that.
I will have Christina give her a call once some beer has been consumed. Probably tomorrow night.

Tim and Deb are coming.
Somebody needs to go pick up the Weasel.
i have not been given details but looks ike Debby6 called Barb and we are in that is all i know at this poin
and made me an offer I couldn't refuse! It looks like we will be joining y'all. Tim and Deb have graciously offered us seats in their boat so I don't have to worry about getting ours up there. As Randy says, and Roadtrip reminded me, my Donzi family is just absolutely awesome!
Don't you love it when a plan comes together!
I most likely can't get there until Saturday morning, but no reason it won't be early Saturday morning to join in all the fun. I am flying in from the west (Calgary) that Friday so I suspect it will be late when I get home. I'll have everything ready in advance so we can head out for Chattanooga for a 9 to 10 AM arrival. Leaving on Eastern and arriving on Central time will be my friend...
Barb / Randy - I'll be in touch soon about logistics
The girls talk and look what happens!
Odd man out? Yep, you guessed it, the Weasel is still looking to thumb a ride to Chatt.
DW, if you can somehow find your way down, we can throw you a lifejacket and strap you
in the back of the Flowerpot, no doubt. I would be honored to do so...
Now back to that menu, I'm thinking some marinated delmonicos and bone-in breast chicken
for the grill Saturday night....
I am packed and ready, when should I expect someone to pick me up?
Lady Griz / Big Griz -
I reserved a floating cabin for Friday and Saturday nights. Had to reserve a 1 bedroom as they didn't have a 2 room one available for both nights.
Deb and I will take the sleeper sofa since we are only in for 1 night.
Aw man. Toona is a weak maybe. But trying hard. I need a Donzi fix badddddddddd.
Like heck you will. 2 nights, 2 couples. We'll get the bedroom Friday, and you get it Saturday. Fair is Fair!Quote:

Thanks Tim, I am sure Barb will chime in. The only problem is Barb wants to drive her car to the event, the back road terror has been unleashed. Look out Eljay residents on 183.
would somebody please go get the Weasel! How exciting can watching grass grow be any way?
Watching the grass grow is underated. It is actually very exciting. Man, I need a drink. Been waiting on the porch with my bags for someone to pick me up all day.......what the hell?
OK, Are there only floating cabins? Looks like everyhone else has a home on wheels or floats.
Any other motel options near?
Looks like they have land cabins to. Not sure what else is around there..
Can ya swing by Mercury on your way west??
Where are we at on the RV spots? Do I need to call them?
Mercury is never a problem. Kinda on the way home from work. Never know when I may need ya.
So I got custom drive parts and props showing up from all over the country, thanks to several friends out there, and about thirty days to FINALLY get the Flowerpot dialed in the way she should be. Psyched! 5800 or bust.
Celene, you DO want a ride, trust me baby. We have gotten SO slow at these things any more...
I talked to the marina Sunday. They had just fired the maintenance guy so there was a bunch of drama. It is too bad because he actually walked the docs and helped out.
The girl there THINKS Buiz and Poodles's spots are open. I will talk to Bridgette today. She knows what is going on. My advice, call and talk to BRidgette. Get those posts nailed down.
I am getting a few things done on the work side right now, but will call "Grillmaster SE" when I hit the road to discuss food. The A-Dockers are ready to party. They were on Sunday.
Grillmaster SE, sounds kind of like a rapper.
As Hedge eluded to, we will have a couple of grilling choices arranged for A-dock Saturday night, because everybody likes choices...
So expect a little something like this below, when you approach the grill to grab your meal choice.
You can go with this, or you go with that...

I have a few maybes. Am I missing anyone? Hedge is still tired from the 4th so anything is possible.
Jerry and Diane are a maybe. I'll call him. I do know the trawler went to the water this
past weekend, so he has that out of the way, which was his reason for not commiting.
Clean white 22.
Cliff and Di are a scratch. Lippy is a scratch.
Russ Kilby and Sheila are coming. Gray Ghost 22.
Um, Lenny and Deneen????
And I never stopped celebrating the 4th, so there may be more...
Is Lenny in? :hammock:
Worryabout weasel Lenny is a big boy and no twins,
GMSE here reporting in with a status report:
We are picking them up today from our local Milford, Michigan butcher. Best grill meats we have ever had, after living a lot of places. Should have about two-dozen of the buggers. Donated by the Midwest Donzi Club. Thanks Byron and Jerry for agreeing to kick-in a little here.
We will also throw a few pieces of bone-in-breast chicken out there for those in the crew who don't feel like tackling a big chunk of beef.
Tim and Deb are bringing a big bunch of twice-baked potatos and Bill and Christina are providing a salad.
We are going to need some appetizers, maybe some more sides, and perhaps a dessert or two. So you gourmets out there, plan on bringing something for the feast!
Going to be good! A Donzi crew NEVER goes hungry and they won't on A-Dock Saturday night!
Tex checking in , I'm on the plane flying back from San Francisco as I type this, I will be able to muster up some apps to help out with the event...as well as mixed drinks and frozen concoctions for all those interested... If I am correct I will be arriving on Thursday with the weezle , i will pick him up at the airport on the way up to Hales bar...and getting things prepped for the long weekend of Donzi addicted folks burning up lots of fuel.... We need to get final headcount for provisions or did I miss something here....
Let me know, looking forward to catching up with everyone....
Tex
I will be there on Thurs.
not sure what I can bring, but i'm open for suggestions..
I am working on 20-25, just to be safe, from a food pespective. Drinks? Double it.
We'll have Hot n spicy Chinese noodles, a key lime pie or two, and I'm sure something else..
Oh, and Rum..
Thurs or Fri arrival, not sure when we are leaving yet....
I have a 6' table or two in the Dog House, should I bring the pop up tent?
I think that we have a big assed tent.
I will check on the tables. We should be ok, but I need to ask.
I will snap some pics this weekend.
A dock is a prototype version of the Redneck Yacht club. These guys perfected the art way before the song. Parts are hard to explain and parts are easy. These guys have basically taken over a peninsula that juts out in the marina. The neat thing is that you can park right in front of your boat. They have everything from folks that stay on 29 foot Bayliners to a nice Ocean Alexander (but he just either left or got run off). These guys Jamie and Bobby have been around for a good while. Jamie has a tiki bar and a hot tub in front of his boat. Bobby has a garage with a flat screen, bar, commercial ice maker fridge, etc. Before moving to A-dock, I was cautioned many times by both the marina staff and the cliques from other docs. They were pretty wild in the day. Some paranormal activity still happens. I have found them to be a nice bunch of folks that have a good time. I don't regret my move.
Rules on A dock.....
1. Drive slow. We do not want you to run over the dogs. People are on their own but the dogs are important.
2. Drive slow. Feel free to shoot firearms and streak, but drive slow.
3. Drive slow.
4. Drink lots and be sociable.
5. Be prepared to eat lots.
6. Bring loud boats. We all know that this can **** people off in some marinas, but at A dock it brings a round of applause. 80+ mph drive by's on the lake are encouraged.
7. Drink lots
8. Drive slow (once again, cars not boats)
How long is the dock and do I need to bring my electric chair AKA scotter chair? Walking still not up to par.
