I may need help prepping / ie warming up the Bushwhacker machine. Will be serving a high octane blend for early arrivers!

Unfortunatley Team Yellow Devil has to cancel, I just purchased a new house and my closing date is scheduled for 7-26-13, which is the Friday we were scheduled to be at Chatt and I can use that weekend to get in and do some painting before we move in.
Needless to say my boy's arent very happy with me but hopefully that will change after they move into the new house which happens to be on a lake.
All I can say is we will plan on next year and I was so looking forward to a juicy steak and ice cold beers.
take care,
Gregg and the boy's Logan and Tyler Wright

New lake house sounds nice Gregg! Congrats !
How big is the dock? :rock2:
Hey man, can I play through?

Wish I could make it - but airfare from Connecticut is just too expensive.
You all have a great time and I will just have to be content with seeing pictures.
Well guys, the wedding is off and I quit my job, but I feel good about my decision to be there Monday thru Sunday of next week. Ok just kidding, but as of now, it looks like I'll be there most of the day Saturday, and possibly Friday night. Looking forward to seeing everybody!

A whole bunch of delmonicos, cut at a custom 1.25" thickness in order to survive and sear properly over the hottest hickory fire known to man, were ordered yesterday afternoon...
Gregg... Let Logan and Tyler take the boat and we'll make sure they don't go over 80 mph.:shift:
Ha that's a good one Stan, Keep them under 80. I can visualize you and the rest of the veterans sitting around a campfire and giving them a few pointers if you did this you would be able to do this!!!! Hello 80 goodbye 80!!!! Hope your project is nearing completion!!!!
Appreciate the hydration offer Duckman, and I wil most certainly take you up on it! Perhaps a long distance IV from the Bushwacker machine could accomplish the task. Last year, I retired as an organizer with the MWDC, so this years steaks are courtesy of the Flowerpot Racing Team.:bbq::bbq::bbq: Yee haw, gonna be good!
I can't wait!!!!
I need a change of scenery...
hmmmmmm
Is anyone else interested in doing some prop testing at the gorge? I am bringing my stash and am always game to try new stuff as I still haven't found "the" prop for my setup.
Here's what I will have:
Mercury Bravo 1 4B 15.5 x 22P
Mercury Vengeance 3B 14.5 x 19P
Turbo 2+2TH 4B 14.0 x 20P
If you've got something collecting dust in the garage I would love to give it a shot... The B1 is for sale for what I've got in it minus depreciation for the 1hr of run time. Let's say $350 and a cold beer. These are $575 from Merc.
So a week from tonight we'll be digesting big ass steaks and loading round three into the bushwhacker machine. The duckhunter crew is FIRED UP! :thumbs
Barring disasters, looks like I should make Wed afternoon/evening. In a perfect world, maybe somewhere from 3-5 PM arrival. Will be in one of the cabins at the base of A-dock.
Thinking it might be nice to launch her on Wednesday if I make it before 5.
I've been doing some prop testing up here lately. If anyone who is making the trip to Chatt has a Mirage PLUS 23 RH that he is looking to sell, that's what's next on my list to test. I think it's what I need. If it does what I expect it will, I'll be prepared to buy it on the spot with cash.
Maybe we can do a little test & tune on Thurs before everyone else starts rolling in, and maybe Sun as well. If you haven't tried a 22P B1 yet I know a guy that has one! I'm overpacking as usual and will have a timing light w/ tach, GPS, vacuum/fuel pressure gauge, prop wrench, etc in the truck. And the special grease for the bushwhacker machine. And 800 beers.
Drove all day in the wrong direction on the way back to Michigan from Kentucky. Not one of my brighter moves, but the business calls.
I am already partially ready to go. We'll hook up Wednesday, retrace my steps back to Kentucky, pitstop there, and roll Thursday.
Friday can't come soon enough....
Duckhunter ..Better yet I'll bring my 498/600hp engine to let you try. It will only take a few hours to set it up and see what speed you can reach . It's sitting in the garage collecting dust, so why not put it in your bowrider !!! Oh how's your outdrive ???
Funny, the 22 pitch labbed Bravo 1 is my favorite prop from all my testing so far. Not the fastest I've tried, but the boat just loves it. I'm using it now for my everyday prop.
Definitely up for running early Thursday. I was even pondering a Wed evening cruise...
Hmmm, a dusty old motor, probably not worth much, with all that dust on it. (Still dreamin', and drooling on it !)
:)
So we've got a prop and a big honking motor. Just gonna need a Bravo drive, the marina forklift, some elbow grease, copious amounts of beer, and maybe a little duct tape. Should be able to git 'er done no problem on Thursday evening before dinner at the Mexican joint! Doubling the horsepower has got to be a good thing, right? :shift::whee:
