I'm sad to say we will not be able to make it this year, too many irons in the fire, had hoped the moon, stars and planets would line up but they didn't , hate not to be there.

Got some great news when I came into work tonight. I have Friday night next week off thanks to a co-worker so I plan to come down to Jamestown Friday morning when I get off work and stay till Saturday evening. Have to be back home Sunday for a commitment with my daughter, but looking forward to seeing everyone again! Can't wait to see so many Donzi boats and owners in one place again. Was totally amazed back in 2001 when AOTH I was held and every gathering since I've been able to attend just excites me all the more. It's like a Christmas family gathering in May. Hoping a really nice silver X-18 is attending and a very special 22 Classic with an Ilmore under the engine hatch. Dream come true would be not only to see both these boats, but to win the lottery Tuesday night and have the option to hand the owner of that X-18 cash to give it a new owner. Yea....... I dream big. It's the only way to live life.
As your leave date arrives this week, everyone have a safe tow to the lake. Take your time as to arrive safely far out-weighs the little bit of travel time you might save.
Back in the day, we used to run Lake St.Clair up in MI this weekend to blow the dust out of the horses before AOTH. Just wondering if the MI group gathered this weekend? Pictures?
Looks like the Criterion will not be making the trip. I have a few electrical gremlins
to trace and repair. So Rob and I will be looking to bum rides this year (again for me)
Will be there in time for supper Thursday..........................Ed
Reports of an impending MADCOW extinction are overblown. Last summer, we had about a dozen in the water one weekend, enough to disturb the natives at the Detroit Yacht Club at lunch time! We'll do it again this year.
Looking forward to seeing you Scott. I'll be down Wednesday night to uncover and dust-off the Flowerpot. See ya there!
we can't make it this year either unfortunately. My sister is graduating from dental school this Friday in MD and we couldn't make it work. Plus I still haven't had the time to learn that blackhawk yet... I hope everyone has fun this year and that the weather is great! Can't wait to see some pictures! Let em' rip guys!
Hate to be the bearer of terrible news, but today I am as low as I was high last Fri. when I found I had the night off this coming Fri. Car cracked a cylinder head gasket and water was leaking into the oil. For those of you who know motors, mixing the coolant with the oil does terrible things to an engine. I'm hoping the cost to fix it won't be a mountain, but needless to say, my saving are depleted in one quick event. I will not be able to attend this year because of this.
Be safe all both on land and on the lake. May the sun shine warmly upon you all. I'm going to miss everyone terribly!
Picking myself up yet again,
Scott
2 doors from my house last night and the Vette starts to tick tick tick
Sounds like a bad lifter. That is unheard of in a LS 3 2008 Vette
Will be swapping my 28 MPG Vette for my 13 MPG Harley P/U
Just watch my buddy not showing up at my house at midnight
I think someone is trying to tell me something...Ed
Hope your drive down is better, Ed. Looking forward to seeing you. And look at all the water in the lake...

I like the webcam showing the whole dock, but like Lenny, would have loved to seen the launch ramp today. I used to enjoy arrival day on Thursday. Many of us would meet in Cincinnati, OH have some coffee and donuts thanks to Jerry and his wife, then we would all caravan to the lake together. As we got closer and closer to Jamestown, we'd see other owners coming off the other roads all heading to Jamestown towing their prized passions. It is like the circus coming to your hometown marching down Main street or a Friday night rod and custom car show at the local A & W restaurant.
The best part I always thought was watching and helping others on the launch ramp. (Except in Todd & Jill's case...... Jill drives a tow vehicle better than most of us guys. She really knows what shes doing!) Catching up with friends from past gatherings and most important....... seeing all the upgrades and restorations that had occurred over the winter months.
As things settled down for the afternoon, the grill was ablaze cooking up dinner, recent years hot rods from a local club joining us and a DJ providing the songs we all loved growing up. It's hard to even think about going to bed and getting some rest. No need for an alarm clock at Lake Cumberland. The best alarm in the world is a Donzi or other performance boat coming to life.
Enjoy the gathering everyone. Wish I could be there with you! Your all in my thoughts.
Scott
Usually there are lots of post AOTH stories. How did everything go? Hope everyone had fun.

Thanks to all who attended AOTH this year and sorry to those couple folks who couldn't make it due to unfortunate circumstances. We have your shirts and will be mailing them to you this week.
We had a blast running to the new venues!! The new spots were happy to have us! Conley even gave everybody a free key chain!!
The weather could have been better, but as always at AOTH, the sun came out and made for a great day of running and hanging with great friends!! I think Conley sold their rack of sunglasses(maybe shot glasses too!!).
Thanks to Tom for being the tow boat! You stepped right in without hesitation! Now if everyone hadnt went on the trailer the yellow boat was ready for a pre dinner cruise after swapping drives!! Love the enthusiasm!!
Thanks to Hedge for stepping up to be the auctioneer! What a riot you were! Fishin your job is a stake here bud!!! Thanks to those who supported the auction!!!
Thanks to the Donzi Marine Restoration Society for sponsoring the Thursday night Show N Shine! The cars guys loved it again!!
The horses have Awaken at Cumberland for 2014!!!!
Thanks to Easton for this incredible video!!!

Funny, I heard a few " stories " about the drive swap that Byron is referring to... :) Actually, I believe there was two, one to put one on, and one to take it off due to a " performance " issue.
Funny stuff !
:) glad everyone had fun !
Something about a blackhawk down ;). Must have been fun while it lasted. I'd love to have seen the 90+ mph roostertail. :)
Just spent the whole time walking around the pier with various balls in his mouth.

lmao, epic bad choice of wording :bye:.
Well if it is any consolation, that Poodle was a complete rock star!
