Floating cabin booked. See you all soon.
This looks like an appropriate A-dock activity!

I've slept on Hedge's ROMER and there a bunch of ghost's on it............. They come over from the storage place where they charge $35.00 for the GHOST tour. Last year we had 2 big bags of strawberry's in the cooler when we left and came back and they were GONE !!!!!!! :Confus1:
Who is going to show up?
:werd:
The duckhunter crew will be there. We're fired up! Breweries throughout WI have been alerted and are adding a 3rd shift, and grain futures have responded favorably to the news.
Accepting applications to the Slow Boat Mafia. We make up for a lack of speed with an excess of tiddlywink spirit. It is promising to be a robust fleet this year. :thumbs
Looking forward to seeing everyone and the official unveiling of a lot of new iron since last year.
Who is keeping a list? Here's what I'm tracking:
Hedgehog + fleet & a bushwhacker machine
Roadtripse + Flowerpot & blender
Buizilla + TBD
Poodle + TBD
Ghost + Cig
Inferno + pontoon boat or something
Duckhunter + slow boat
DonziVol + new Minx
Dre + 43ZR
Lenny + a big bottle of penicillin and maybe a cougar
Red Dog + 22C
DonziGirl
Cam + Whaler
ITLLFLI + ?
Unknown:
Parnell
Undertaker
Fixx
Dr. Dan
Mr. X
Pringles girls
Prudes
If you're on the fence, get a cabin booked and the boat ready and prepare for a good time.
I'll be there but the Cig won't be done in time.
I'm in....
If Lenny will send me some more glass and resin the "HOMER SPECIAL" will be christened at A-Dock on Thursday night July 24 !!!!!!!!!!!!
Two weeks from tonight we will be kicked back on the porch of floating cabin 1, bourbon and cigar in fist. Or possibly asleep somewhere between the cabins and A-dock. Either way, it will be a large time.
Still time for fence sitters to make reservations and get the trailer ready. You know you want to. Here's a chance to hang out with some great people (and Hedgehog), and run you boat more in four days than most folks do all summer. Get after it!
:boating:
Stan - I've got a racing decal for the Homer bucket!

One of the best runs of the year!
I am fricking busy, non-stop. This year at AOTH, I was prepping and pre-flighting the Flowerpot during the Show and Shine. She ran out like a champ. Looks like this is going to be the case again at the Gorge. But Flowerpot Racing will be there, and we will be burning Tupperware containers full of 110 octane.
As for accommodations, we got us one of the finest single-wides on the Tennessee River, also known as "#1". Suits me and don't be
calling us trailer park trash, because we already know what the truth is!
Like Duckie said, anyone on the fence about this one needs to just bring it. Relaxed, good times, and some of the nicest water to run a Donzi on anywhere in the country. What's not to like?
Since Leesa can't make it, I'm looking to hitch-hike a ride to Goose Pond on Friday. If no seats are available, I'll bring a rope and some water-skis...not as good as I once was, but I think I'll be good behind Stan or Dre's boats...;)
Also, can I put in a request for more of those Goose Pond green beans for lunch ! Seriously ! Best green beans I've ever had !
Sat night dinner still a "black-tie" only affair ? Then get your reservations in early for Phil's limousine golf-cart transportation services...I'm booking up fast. :).
where's FireFly Phil?
Still here, taking her to Charleston Harbor for a bit next week. Since Leesa can't go to Chatt tho', I'd rather not have to haul her fat-ass there and back. For the record, I was talking about FireFly.
I'm bringing that stuff for the "spray-on" abs, just don't wanna be riding around by myself like some Baja dood...
Lol...Rainbow flag, check, pink life-line, check, coordinating flip-flops, check...
Travel safe everyone,...looking forward to seeing everyone and enjoying the Gorge Run !
(Was wondering....has anyone worked out the theoretical top speed of a floating cabin ?). Jamie ?
Rainbow flag? Dude, don't make me throw up that picture again. You know the one.
My impression is that Jamie is not a theoretical physicist, but I could be wrong. The top speed of a floating cabin is definitively 88.0mph, at which point you flush the toilet to activate the flux capacitor and travel through time.
I bet Ghost knows how much power is required to get to 88mph too.
When Jamie retired from NASA, Houston no longer had problems. End of story. Floating cabins present a whole different set of data.... ;)
Applied physics is his forte....
it's a good thing those floaters are tied at all 4 corners, as every time you flush it stretches the lines..
Just spoke to the new owner of Hales Bar and they are going to let anyone without a boat use the "HONEY BUCKET PONTOON " for the river run .. It will only be carrying 200 lbs of fresh sewage. Therefore on the boat will be .. 1) Mike Carr
2) Phil
3) Parnell
Hurry and sign up now as it will get real full soon ............
Parnell is bringing a boat..
you, on the other hand, still need a gas mask :bat:
Oh snap!
Stan's still got a pontoon with a 35hp Force OB kicking around somewhere. If the Homer Bucket ain't ready (and I really hope it is) it would make my weekend to get to rooster the Inferno with a bowrider.
I guess I hadn't realized that Jamie is a renaissance man. Poor judgement on my part - I will hire him as a systems engineer immediately. What's the over/under on his being approved for a security clearance?
Back to important stuff: Who's staying in the floaters? Better yet, who's planning on waking up in the floaters? Should be mostly the same folks, but you never know. The hospitality tent will be set up on the porch of FC #1 and/or the bowrider in the immediate vicinity, as usual. Stop by and say "hey." This might be the year that the A-dockers figure out where the real party is at...
Just heard "Poodle" #4 will be in the " Turd Toon..... " but is NOT allowed to drive ,as he might run into Haas :tap:
The reason I am not allowed to drive is Weasel wimped out and now I have to drink all the rum… I am bringing an inverter and my sound system for the run to hoochie coochie town for lunch, between vast quantities of rum and 2400 watts of stereo sound I WILL be obnoxious… :dj::rock2: :dj:
Oh, and the speakers will be pointed back towards you when we are towing Inferno (if it even gets there) home, and playing this on a repeat loop.. :hammer:

Dad and I will officially be there - ditching the husband again at home.
Hey - somebody's got to make money, right?
anybody updated the attendance list lately??
good 50-50 chance my wife and her sister are not coming.... the rest of the clan is however... you've been warned :shift:
I have not been out of Ga with the boat since 2011. It needs to be run so I am looking forward to being there late Thursday.
My wife can't make it. Count me in.
Russ
