DickB and I are here at Crystal Cove. Bert was here this afternoon with his baby 14 and will be back tomorrow. Cya in the morning, should be a great day on the water tomorrow.
Great day of boating on the St. Johns River. Logged 166 miles today, lunch stop was Renegades on the river between Welaka and Georgetown.

It was good too see some old faces and meet some new ones. Ride in the 14 baby was fun, thanks Bert. GCarter unfortunately had some serious trailer issues getting here and never splashed. Hope he got home OK.
To say I was frustrated would be an understatement! I had spared no expense on rebuilding
the trailer. It's not that I don't know how to pack bearings, but I'll take the blame as I used
nothing but the best Timkin bearings, seals, and their special grease. Up until Saturday,
I had only put about 30 miles on the trailer. It's only about 3 miles to the local ramp.
My thanks to Bert Harris for helping me. It was pretty warm, 88*, and I'm not sure I
could have got it done as easily w/out him. He's a stand up guy who spent the day helping
me instead of boating.
It was also good to finally meet Dick Bipes who has recently moved to south central Florida
from the far north. Also it my first time to meet Greg K.
I had a great time. Couldn't have asked for better weather. I stayed at the resort which was quite good and reasonably priced. I always enjoy seeing other Donzis, and the two red ones were spectacular. Nice meeting all who came; hope to do it again in the future.
Well I didn't escape trouble on my way home, had a tire let go on me near Brunswick, GA. Everything is ok, just some time lost on the road.
Isn't WOOBS the tire expert?
Where is that man, we need a reason why this failed.
Glad there was no other damage.

Hey Dick, we going to see you in Tavares??
Thinking of going to the monthly Fun Run this Saturday.
Those always look like fun. I'll be up there for OFF and the demo races.
I was expecting more boats and was a little disappointed that there were only three of us, but it was fun anyway and nice to get out on the Harris chain where I had not been boating before. I'm horrible with names; hope I got the first names right at least. Tom brought a reproduction 50s vintage E class race boat he built a couple years ago. Darrel is a local and he and his wife met us in his 22 Classic. George Carter drove over to the restaurant on Lake Harris to have lunch with us.

I'm planning to drive up just for the day on Saturday to see the vintage race boats.
The reproduction race boat was really well done.
I'd met Darrel previously. He even visited my shop.
The restaurant, Lake Harris Hideaway, http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restauran...y_Florida.html
has really come up a lot in recent years. The last time I was there, you took your life in your own hands walking along the rickety piers.
Also, the Health Department has shut the place down a number of times.
I'm glad to report the piers are new and very secure, and the food was still very good.
Didn't expect to get this in the mail from Green Cove Springs.
Greg, for some reason, my computer has a problem opening your video.
Here's my new Tie Down Torsion axle. My misadventures ruined the forward STBD spindle.
It was welded in and so, was not replaceable.
Note the new axle does have replaceable spindles. Yipee!:D
That's no stinkin torsion axel .... this is a torsion axel.:thumbs

Yeah, WMP keeps saying it encountered a problem while playing.
There's a Red Light Camera in Daytona on International Speedway Blvd. that's notorious.
It's focused on the right turn lane (only) where it goes from 4 lanes to 3 lanes.
Folks coast through that camera turning right w/o stopping all the time.
I got hit "ONCE" for $165.00.
Never again!
Sorry Dwight, I was pretty sure I remembered your name wrong. I plan to come Sunday to watch, no boat.
I may or may not make it tomorrow, I'm finishing up installing two new axles.
It's a lot of work.
