I think we need to honor the DMRS
after all, why not?
Not everyone knows what DMRS means.......................Ed
The year of the "Fonzi".
Or maybe a tribute to North Carolina? ;)
I'll have the TR there, even if it's a trailer queen w/o an engine.
had a front-and-center, exclusive presence last year. Heck, people even bought the very cool banners at the auction.
I would think you guys would have a similar stake in this year's run.
As for Grizz, this one is hard. We all miss him and going to events is not going to be the same without his presence.
But, we will remember and honor him. My personal thoughts at this point are to tack a day on to the front of the event,
Wednesday, which is usually a travel/arrival day for a lot of folks, to assemble the right activites with Barb. I bring this up only,
so that those of you flying or coming in from long distances have notice and get a chance to add a day to your calendars way in advance.
As for the theme, I am leaning towards the 16 as the recommendation to the MWDC organizing committee for a vote.
did they make a 16 blackhawk edition?
then there is Shea.
I think there should be an educational aspect to the event.... Such as a Class by Todd explaining "The Proper Way to be the best Sandbagger" which will include : having 900 hp and making everyone think it's only 450, running 45 mph and being the last boat ,then do a fly by at 100 mph. Then a class for the wives that attend...which would cover topics such as "Why it's good to hold down 2 jobs to support your husband's Donzis", how to act when a new part arrives at your front door, support him when he wants 2 Donzis and more topic to follow....:grin::grin::grin:
Heidi was reading over my shoulder, she suggested "The 28 reasons why you should NOT give your wife an 18 Classic for Valentines day"... :willy: :willy:
Drumroll please...
the Donzi 16 Classic, the boat that started it all!
So dig them out, tune and shine them up, as you guys are front and center this Spring!
Going to be very cool!
