I haven't seen more than 82 here this summer. Man, I am in trouble.........
What have I gotten myself into?????????
Tex, please make sure the boat is a comfortable 62 before I get there........ :)
Jump in. We'll load up something for you to float on, but after the run, the water will be nice...
i'm having a little problem getting the Pro Max into the Tahoe.... maybe take the rear seats out? :bye:
Who is stopping by my place on the way up to bring up the special top secret prop for Tripper. You guys stuck me with the Z and Depends so help is needed. it may be an hour out of the way for, maybe less, Tex, but who knows. I need cool too, heatn is not very good to me either. It will be good to stand on the deck og a Romer again after all these years.
I'm thinking that you might want to wrap that prop in a towel and put it in your lap to keep you in the car with the top down!
I have seen some of those curves and I know she will show you no mercy, as paybacks are hell!
Nice bonus on the Roamer? A/C in the salon or is that saloon?
OK, I have been pushed off the fence. It really bothers me, but I will not be able to attend.
Too many pulling me in many different ways.
I had the ZX all ready, and was looking forward to the Tex/Hedge demo ride.
I will miss you all.
I think I am going to have to bail out. Too hot..........
grizz..... put the prop in HER lap, trust me she won't drive as fast....
You guys are fickin' nuts!!!!
I didn't sign up for a heat stroke.........why don't you all come out here this weekend, it will be much cooler and downright confortable..... :)

i'm all hooked up and ready, leaving in the am... serviced the car this morning too :mechanic:
Cooler day, today, so I went over and prepped the FP for the run. Ready to roll. Discovered that the plugs weren't gapped the way I wanted:Confus1:, but the new ones are. Man, I'll be glad when this thing is back to something resembling normal because it ain't yet.
Donzi Weasel, ride with me and I promise you that I will keep your attention off of the heat. Promise. When we reach our destination, you'll kiss the ground and thank the Lord to be alive, just like Grizzly will when he arrives from GA.
And after the day on the water is over, we'll have the proper fixin's in the "saloon" to calm the nerves and toast the chance to do it again the next day. As part of my Hedgehog room rate, we will be sharing Kettle One Martinis with bleu-cheese, hand-stuffed into queen size olives. One or two of these babies and the heat will be a long gone memory. Promise.
I don't know......when your low temps are my high temps, I gots to bail........
I do love a good martini though.......
I love the Friday forecasts on NOAA- just a orange blaze and HOT!

It'll fit in the casket..
Grizz- talk to Lady Grizz and reconsider bringing the scooter - I may need it. I think I have gout or something like it. My foot looks like a football! It won't stop me but if not better by then I may have to plant myself in the 22 and just stay there for the weekend. Is Gero coming with painkiller? Can someone take care of me and provide boat service?
Red Dog, I have been giving a prime parking spot in front of Tex,s boat so ride with me tothe dock after boating. I just don't how I will feel by thetime Barb gets her paybacks.
Good idea.. Gero will let Max in the boat I'll bet..
Can't wait to show you his newest trick: he now pee's on command... :bye:
Looks like central time is the plan. For those that need a ride, we have seats available. Looks like it will be just Kathy and me making the run so we have a bench wide open. Of course we will not be hangin' with the flower pot once we leave the no wake zone I suspect. I'm gonna need more motor to hang with this crowd.
Grizz, if you need some items transported let me know... I should be able to stop by Friday to pick up, but we still are looking like a Sat morning arrival and Sat evening departure from TN. Looking forward to seeing everyone!
So freaking excited about this weekend I'm going up this afternoon to meet the Hedgehog there this afternoon....going to get some things squared away for the weekend of converting fossil fuels into Co2 and NoX.....oh wait I have to get the weasel on Thursday....
Don't worry John I'm coming back down to pick you up on Thursday ....only an hour and a half.....
See you guys there.....
Gero......you reading this???? Get your ass to Chattanooga!"before"
Tex
Tex, why don't I just rent a car? It is only 100.00 for the four days. It is farther than 1 1/2 hours, you have to go all the way through Atlanta, traffic, etc..... That way you can make sure the boat is nice and cool for the Weasel. No reason for you to have to drive 4-5 hours all the way down and back. Plus, anyone could use it to shuttle back and forth at Hales.
Google Maps has it at 145 miles and 2 hours 38 minutes. Just have a cold cocktail ready for me.
Byron has to bail. Haven't talked to him yet, but the standard work is busy, travel, and family stuff. I was looking forward to running with him, because even though we run at the same place, we haven't yet. Been a Malibu/Formula summer.
I know for a fact that Gero is aware of this upcoming weekend. He is still irritated at me, blew a cork actually, for poking at him for letting his boat sit at the dock at AOTH, so somebody else will have to give him a call.
I will call Gero.
That sucks that Byron won't be able to make it. I was looking forward to seeing his boat run. I tried to lure him out with some of the "is anyone else bringing a fast boat" talk. I understand busy though. I am glad that my work is not too bad during summer.
Hmmmm.....beat up, put in airline baggage, having my man card revoked, called a donkey......guess I had better sack up and go. I do still have my testicles, but they might wilt a little in the heat. Alright, I am in. Tough crowd.
Seriously, I might be a little lethargic. Althought I am from Atlanta, the last time I was in good ole' southern heat and humidity was 4 years ago for my brothers wedding in Charleston, SC. I almost passed out, but I was in a full Tux. So, I might be strolling around naked for much of the weekend..... What is the temp of the ole' Tennessee River? Probably going to be spending alot of time in it....... Living in Wyoming for 16 years definetly changes your tolerance for heat....... :)
Cold doesn't bother me....... 8 months of cold bothers me. :)
as we were finishing up prepping a batch of chorizo-based queso for this weekend. He convinced us to go easy on you guys, so we only put one habanero, one cayenne, and some poblanos in it. It is tasty, and the fire depends on what you pick-up on the chip... could be mild, could be wild...
We are going to make an effort to get down there tomorrow night. We'll check in with HH when we hit the road to confirm, but it looks like a go at this point. You've been warned. See you'all when we get there...
I am NOT going to do the hot questo, but may bring My famous ITALIAN salsa. With RedDog's bad foot Barb may reconsider the Z thing in an aid to bring the electric chair. NEW NOTE--- we are leaving o Friday morning at the crack of noon.
Grizz,
If you put the Z in the rear view mirror, we need to prop the boat. If not- no worry. I did blow out a hub on the 4th and it will be available on Friday for pick-up.
Other than that, today I bit the bullet and will be in one of the floating cabins Sat night. We are planning to drive up on Saturday am and be around Sat night. Look forward to what will be a great time with all!
Do we have a run time for Sat.?
