Default Time to get ready for the gorge!

AOTH was the blast that it always has been. Actually I had even more fun this year.

Now it is time to focus on the gorge. Get ready. Gonna start working on a headcount after Mem day. It is gonna be a good one. I just talked to Jamie. We are going to dust off the bushwhacked machine on Fri. It has been a whole 3 weeks since we have fired it up. Got a few more tricks up the sleeve this year. Better practice up Weasel! You wanted two.....you got it!

    Default Fired up...

After taking Sunday and Monday off as a recovery period from AOTH, I took the boat to the water and started tuning tonight. I have renewed energy and enthusiasim for the Flowerpot this summer, and it will be ready for Chatt, not just functioning after a one hour water test, like it was for AOTH.

All of this aside, Chatt will be the highlight of any Donzi-afficionado's summer that attends, no doubt. Run all day on beautiful waters (note to Bill... need 93 bro if we are running way south) and then eat and drink at one of the proudest party docks in the Southeast, the infamous A-DOCK. Doesn't really get much better than that. Nope it doesn't.

On the fence? Book it. If things are at all like last year, we will have a ball.

No worries tripper...... Cracked the lower from the upper.....

Did not break the vertical shaft BUT it seems the lower gears are shot and the shaft will not turn.....

Best case..... go throughout the lower completely and inspect the upper for debris and hope it is OK but will it be thoroughly inspected before deemed healthy.

Worst case.... Trashed the whole thing upper and lower and zinging the motor when it blew bent some valves and chit......

Either way I will be there sporting fresh gear ready to run!

Now back to the hunt for a blackhawk !!!!

Unless something crazy happens, I'll be there. I'll start preparing myself mentally, physically, and emotionally now.

    Default And...

You haven't even seen it yet, when a bunch of Donzi-heads get mixed into that environment. It's kind of a chaotic, type-A, rebel-yell, sort of a thing. We run the heck out of the boats, trash talk like crazy with a sandbagger edge, AND then mix in the Captain, Jamie, and the rest of the A-Dock crew in with us in the evening, and it just doesn't get any better....

Can we expect a return engagement from the Green contingent?

... don't know. While we were in Kentucky my "ex" was diagnosed with a severe bone marrow disease. She was medivac'd from Victoria to Vancouver General Hospital where she will now "live" for the next 3 1/2 months

Deneen and I now have my 14 year old daughter ( who lived at her moms ) back at our house in Victoria full time so to speak while this ordeal unfolds.

No longer sure if we can vacate for 4-5 days or so at this time

    ???

Sorry for the news, Len. There is way too much of this kind of thing in people's lives right now. Serious illness, broken relationships, death of a loved one, family squabbles, lost jobs, and the list goes on.

This is part of the reason I have been so defensive lately when somebody starts tearing down from afar these kind of gatherings of friends. I think a lot of folks need this kind of release to help deal with what is going on in their lives right now.

Glad you two made it out last week.
