Donna and I are going to the Ft Lauderdale boat show next week for our first time. What exhibits (places) do we want to visit and which ones are a waste of time. (sailboats, etc). Any tips on parking , etc will be appreciated.

my .02..... this is how *I* do it...
park in the south side of the parking garage to the east of the Convention Center, there is a main entrance ramp to the south of the Convention Center, you can come out the garage on the north side, cross the driveway, and visit the Convention center exhibits first... when your done there, exit out the front door of the center and take a bus to the in water display at Bahia Mar, (I take a cab because they let me off at the Hotel entrance and I can walk in the side entrance), the bus lets you off at the outside curb and it's a zoo since that entrance forces you into the tent exhibits first, the side entrance lets you go where you want as you choose first and exit through the tents then take the bus back to the convention center parking garage. worse case, the cab lets you off at the outside entrance if you can't find the side entrance...
you'll spend hours walking the outside docks at Bahia Mar if your like me, and you'll also spend some time at the floating bar there...
if you appreciate fine woodwork on yachts, seek out the Vicem Sportfishing boats on the south docks.. OMFG, their woodwork is unbelievable if your allowed onboard to look around
the north docks have what I can afford... maybe...
hope this helps

What day(s).
Well, I made it to the Ft Lauderdale Boat Show. Now I know why you guys did not get excited. It is certainly not geared for what I wanted to see. Oh well, the highlight of the weekend was going to Phil's. Better boat show there than at the big show,
With Donzi, Fountain and Baja out the Hipo presence was pretty small I am sure. AWESOME big boat show though, well worth the trip if you're in town.. Was Outer Limits outside as usual??

We came in by Water taxi so I do not know what was outside. I saw 1 Outerlimits boat in the water. It was across from the Cig display. Cigarette had 4 boats there. I saw a Sunsation and a Nor-Tech and that was it. Did not see anything in the booths geared to the performance crowd. And it was very hot & humid.
