There are no up-front fees this year. This is just Mike Miller coordinating a get-together. You pay for everything on your own! You don't even have to stay at the Cove, but it seems like they have great docks, good food, and a nice drinking spot! And great access up and down the intercoastal and to the Gulf.

So when is the next Donzi get together or Poker run in the south happening?

I am trying to put together a weekend trip to Lake Okeechobee in October. So far, minimal interest. After that would be the Miami Boat Show in February with a possible Keys run. Then, Tavares Antique Boat show in March.

The last several years, the gatherings have been very informal. The economy has taken a huge toll on events with not much change foreseen in the near future.

Although I haven't attended, the only poker run I have heard of in the southeast, would be one in Jacksonville. There may be another around the Destin area also. Others would need to fill in details on these. Neither is a "Donzi" event, just a boating event.

there are a couple poker runs in Sarasota area. I don't attend them but I see them flying past my house, etc. I am in for the ditch run.
