Thanks to everybody for making the Davis family feel welcome at our first ever event. Also thanks to Dr. Dan and Jay for taking the time and convincing me to make the 6-˝ hour drive without their encouragement I would not have made the trip. The Dust-Off was great, the lake is beautiful, and seeing and hearing all the Donzi boats on display was impressive. All the people that we met went out of their way to help us out, make us feel welcome and insure that I was clear on what was planned for the day. I have to be honest that for a while I was running behind or in the wrong spot until Jay and Big Grizz got me squared away. From the moment we pulled into treasure cove we met many new friends and all were very easy to talk to. Skippy, Nick and Todd were all first timers just like me and were great guys to be around. Speaking of the bread boys and the yellow non-barrel back 68, that is one dialed in boat, went for a 70 mph ride and all I could do was hold on bent prop and all.
With all the fine Donzi boats at the event I was honored and humbled to win an award and hope to attend next year.
