Default June 26-28 2014, Smith Mountain Lake (Virginia)

There seems to have been some confusion with the old thread. So, in the interest of clarity, here's a new one.

If anyone wants to see Smith Mountain Lake, a few folks from the board will be there with boats in late June, staying at the Westlake Inn (http://westlake-waterfront-inn.com).

I'm heading down Thursday, June 26th and hope to arrive in the 6-9PM range. Will be staying 3 nights, leaving sometime on Sunday.

Nothing organized, just hanging out and making it up as we go, checking out the lake. (However, feel free to mention my name to Liz and they should give you a $120/night rate for all days, saving a few $$ off the regular weekend rates.)

The Inn is 100 waterfront rooms, slip included with each, and parking for trailers. Come on down, the more the merrier. PM me or chime in here if you can make it.

    Mike

Just talked to my cousin and he lives in Va. He said the lake is crystal clear and they don't mind fast boats as long as your not buzzing others. Going to get our rooms this week and maybe the "Homer Special" will be ready by then.

I'll be there with the Flowerpot. If the Homer Special is there, I'm covered on the attention to speed and noise thingy!

i thought i did. The conversation was going quite well and I mentioned Mike and the deal then she flew off the handle. She said something about "hell no, there will be no secret rendezvous or anything strange with cuddy cabins!" Then she just got more irate by the second and said a bunch of things I did not really understand except the words Mike Carr and pervert right before she hung up. It was almost frightening!

That's sort of the way it went down except for the screaming!

    That's great material!

So I assume the sight of Jim in his deck boat will REALLY set her off….

We tried, but apathy took over and ruled the day. Snap, Crackle, Pop, and their new friend, Fizzle. Oh well, are we going to see you and crew at The Gorge? This one is definitely going down.
