Default Baltimore Star-Spangled Spectacular Sept 13-14

Celebrating 200th anniversary of the defeat of the British in the war of 1812 (the battle was fought in 1814) Baltimore is pulling out all the stops. Many visiting ships from tall sail to today’s US Navy, concerts, firework and the return of the Blue Angels for 2 days of shows. Fort McHenry folks just said on the radio that it should be the biggest fireworks display the city has ever put on including firing off its own artillery every 2 minutes for the length of the original bombardment.
If you are in the area it should be something to see and if you have a boat you will have the best seats in the house for the fireworks and Blue Angels.

Default Not sure you could call it a British Defeat. :)

Canada is still Canada. We didn't defeat the British. We retracted from the war in the treaty of Ghent.
And they did burn the President's Residence... which was later White Washed to hide the burn marks, and from then on was called the White House....

Its a fun week end any way you look at it.
    A Fool's Paradise, .... is still A Paradise.
