I had a great time. Couldn't have asked for better weather. I stayed at the resort which was quite good and reasonably priced. I always enjoy seeing other Donzis, and the two red ones were spectacular. Nice meeting all who came; hope to do it again in the future.

Well I didn't escape trouble on my way home, had a tire let go on me near Brunswick, GA. Everything is ok, just some time lost on the road.

Default That tire looks like it was come up against a curb at some point.

Glad it was an easy fix. Nice meeting you at last. Hope some day we can get some boating in.

Nice to meet you Dick. The boating we did do was fun for sure. Please let me know if you want to do it again.

What you see is the inside, marks are from flapping against trailer frame I think.

    Isn't WOOBS the tire expert?

Where is that man, we need a reason why this failed.

Glad there was no other damage.

    Ouch!

I had an uneventful ride home thankfully - even traffic was not a big issue. I actually dropped my boat for a couple of hours into a chain of lakes near Orlando that I wanted to check out.

Those always look like fun. I'll be up there for OFF and the demo races.

I was expecting more boats and was a little disappointed that there were only three of us, but it was fun anyway and nice to get out on the Harris chain where I had not been boating before. I'm horrible with names; hope I got the first names right at least. Tom brought a reproduction 50s vintage E class race boat he built a couple years ago. Darrel is a local and he and his wife met us in his 22 Classic. George Carter drove over to the restaurant on Lake Harris to have lunch with us.

I'm planning to drive up just for the day on Saturday to see the vintage race boats.

The reproduction race boat was really well done.
I'd met Darrel previously. He even visited my shop.
The restaurant, Lake Harris Hideaway, http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restauran...y_Florida.html
has really come up a lot in recent years. The last time I was there, you took your life in your own hands walking along the rickety piers.
Also, the Health Department has shut the place down a number of times.
I'm glad to report the piers are new and very secure, and the food was still very good.

Greg, for some reason, my computer has a problem opening your video.

Here's my new Tie Down Torsion axle. My misadventures ruined the forward STBD spindle.
It was welded in and so, was not replaceable.
Note the new axle does have replaceable spindles. Yipee!
